The Music Workshop Company Blog

Each month the Music Workshop Company publishes two blogs. One blog, written by the MWC team addresses a key issue in Music Education or gives information about a particular genre or period of music. The other blog is written by a guest writer, highlighting good practice or key events in Music Education. We hope you enjoy reading the blogs.

As the year draws to a close, it’s a time to reflect on 2016 and to look forward to the New Year. 2016 has seen the deaths of many true music legends – popular musicians including Prince, Leonard Cohen and David Bowie, and over Christmas, George Michael and Status Quo’s Rick Parfitt. The Expo, which was held at London’s Barbican Centre on March 12th and 13th, gives music educators, teachers, workshop leaders, musicians and practitioners and all those involved in music education a chance to come together and share ideas and information.
The Music Workshop Company team enjoyed a productive and inspiring two days at the 2014 Rhinegold Music Education Expo, which was held on February 7th and 8th at London’s Barbican Centre.

The Expo gives music and teaching professionals the chance to network, share ideas and browse stands from the top contributors in all spheres of the world of music education, from the ABRSM and Trinity College London to the Incorporated Society of Musicians, Musicians’ Union and Schott Music.
